Our company production machine finger ceremony electronic cash registers
May.1974
Began the manufacture and sales of electronic cash registers.
At the time of JCM's establishment, mechanical cash registers dominated the market. From the latter half of 1960's, electronic cash registers became the mainstream. The market experienced sharp growth and the competition became more intense because of the entry of major electronic appliance manufacturers into the market. To cope with this evolving situation, JCM has been active in the development of other related money-handling businesses.
The company has been able to make effective use of its abundant technical know-how on mechanical cash registers acquired over many years and to secure the future expansion of the business. Consequently, this active development is leading to the steady diversification and strengthening of our product lineup.

Began the manufacture and sales of bill validators.
August . 1986
Began the manufacture and sales of Us dollar bill validators.
Based on the understanding that the demand for a machine able to protect against the use of counterfeit bills would expand as vending machines became widely available, JCM strove to establish bill identification technology and began production and marketing of Japanese Yen bill checkers in 1981. After that, cognizant of the fact that more US dollar bills were in circulation worldwide than Japanese bills, we developed and began marketing US dollar bill checkers, which have gained an excellent reputation both at home and overseas for their high degree of accuracy. These bill checkers, which have undergone several subsequent modifications, are still one of JCM's major products.
June. 1987
Established JCM GOLD(H.K.)LTD., a subsidiary in Hong Kong and SHAFTY CO.,LTD for the overseas manufacture of cash registers.
July. 1988
Established JCM American Corp., a subsidiary, as the marketing base of our products in the United States.
Based on our identification technology, we developed a bill acceptor (bill verification machine unit) and began marketing of a US Dollar bill acceptor and Deutsche Mark bill acceptor as a first step. These products have been adopted by major game manufacturers in the US and have won the trust of customers as the gold standard for this type of equipment. Their sales sharply increased as a result and they became one of JCM's major products. Now, we have developed a series of these products that are able to handle the currency of a variety of countries.
September. 1988
Began the manufacture and sales of token lenders for installation between game machines in amusement centers.
(Began the manufacture of Equipment for the amusement industry)
In the course of seeking out new business opportunities to which we could fully apply JCM's money handling technology, we were asked by a pachinko center owner (already one of our customers) if we could find a solution to the time-consuming money handling and to reduce the labor needed for money management at the hall. With this as a start, JCM entered the amusement machines market, a completely new field for us. First we introduced token dispensers for installation between game machines in a pachi-slot corner using technology which combined the bill verification and the coin conveyance technology, finally developed after much trial and error. After that, with token dispensers as a base, we developed an automatic token supply system that is able to dispense, convey, and store tokens, and began marketing of pachi-slot machines and change-dispensing machines. With these products as a foundation, JCM has steadily expanded its market share.
