The Way we think about CSR and Social Contribution

JCM Group thinks corporate social responsibility is equal to corporate activity.

Based on management principles, we contribute to sustaining the stability of our society by ensuring legal order and security of money in the world through our cash-related business. We also act to pursue sustainable development of society and business into the future by creating new markets that may benefit from the synergistic effects of our unique technologies.

Corporate Governance, Human Resources

To strengthen our relationships with stakeholders, we are working to enhance our internal control systems, ensure transparency and fairness in our management, and build a management system capable of responding rapidly to changes in the business environment. We are also working to reinforce corporate governance through expansion of our corporate officer system and internal controls.

In addition, we view our “human resources” as the most important factor in the continuing development of our business.
We recognize it is essential to revitalize our personnel, organization and corporate culture for overcoming a variety of challenges, including enhancement of corporate governance, and the further development.
We aim to build organization to enable each employee to be his/her best by promoting diversity with the appropriate respect for human rights and health/safety at work, and by ensuring and developing excellent human resources from younger employees to experienced ones.

Global Compliance

Based on compliance regulations and compliance programs, we carry out strict compliance of laws, ethics and social norms on a global basis. We also seek to reinforce our compliance management with early detection and self-regulation of improper practice through an internal reporting system.

Gaming Licenses

In the gaming industry such as casinos, strict laws and regulations cover the management of casinos and the manufacture and sales of gaming devices to ensure legitimate management by persons free of any criminal organizations by using genuine gaming machines. JCM Group companies undergo severe investigation not only companies but also each individual officer to hold licenses throughout the world. Currently, we hold more than 190 gaming licenses mainly in North America. JCM Group will seek to acquire new manufacturing and sales licenses as well as updating the licenses we already hold to promote sustainable development of society and our business for the future to come.

Risk Management

We are working to ensure our stakeholders’ benefits and confidence in society while creating management system of potential risks that will be factors and barriers to prevent the business objectives of the JCM Group from being met, and promoting sound management practice through activities of risk management committee held regularly.

Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

JCM Group, deeply involved with money circulation, maintains and improves our corporation value through its business continuity plan and the continuous improvement to keep going our business under any contingencies such as disasters, and to fulfill our responsibilities to our stakeholders.

Customer Satisfaction, Manufacturing

JCM Group, holding up our management philosophy “Results are for Our Customers”, returns to the starting line and aims to create highly marketable products that meet the sophisticated and diversified needs of our customers in a timely way. We will continue to seek customers’ satisfaction and trust by carving out a new future for our customers, users and our society, and aim to become a company to give our customers and users assurance about reliance and sincerity over the long term.

Quality Assurance

We hold ISO9001 certification, the international standard for quality assurance. As well as creating quality management systems, we manufacture to ensure customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement of overall quality under our environmental quality principles, working to provide right products that live up to our “Results are for Our Customers” slogan.

Environmental Conservation

We hold ISO14001 certification, the international environmental standard. As well as creating an environmental management system and driving the continuous improvement, we give careful consideration to environment, health and safety issues, and strive to do our best to prevent pollution under our environmental quality principles, aiming to become a “people and earth friendly corporation”.

Green Procurement Activity

One of the major issues in environmental conservation is that although there has been progress towards the realization of “environmentally friendly products” in manufacturing, it is vital that the environmental burdens associated with the components and materials for the products are reduced to achieve its realization. In recent years laws controlling harmful chemicals contained in products, such as RoHS Directive, REACH regulation and other applicable regulations, have been strengthened all over the world. It is essential for JCM Group to co-operate closely with our customers in order to realize our green procurement and we have updated the JCM Group Green Procurement Guidelines to have their cooperation.

Conflict Minerals Policy

In July 2010, a new financial regulation (Dodd-Frank Act) was passed into law in the United States of America, stating that “the use of minerals produced in the conflict zone of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), is deemed to be indirect support of inhumane conduct in that country”. As a result of the adoption of this regulation relating to minerals produced in DRC, companies listed on any US Stock Exchange are obligated to report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as to whether their products contain conflict minerals.
JCM Group is not listed on any stock exchanges in the U.S., but we have taken steps to prohibit the use of conflict minerals, which have a indirect link with human rights abuses, environmental damage, corruption or illegality, in order to respect the purpose of this law and to fulfill our role in our supply chain, While complying with regulations relating to conflict minerals, we ask our suppliers for a report on their use of conflict minerals contained in their raw materials, parts and units composing our products. We make it clear and keep it informed that the use of such minerals is unacceptable, and ensure that our products are composed of conflict-free minerals.
